The Startled Deer
My brother and I were out for a bike ride down Dune Road on a particularly windy day. It was hard riding, the wind against us, so we were going to cut the ride short… when lo and behold, he comes to a screeching halt on his bicycle. He then just points. There was a deer, hanging out in someone’s yard, looking just as startled to see us as we were.
