The Monarch
No, not Dr. Venture’s arch nemesis, but the butterfly also known as Danaus plexippus. I am fairly sure that this is a female monarch, as the veins on the wings are dark and in subsequent photos there does not appear to be any androconium (spots on the lower wings).
