The Mystery of the Big Dead Fish
For a few weeks, at low tide, this giant fish corpse could be spotted on the bed of the south side of the duck pond. Where did it come from? Did someone throw it in there? Did an osprey drop it? Or had it wandered up Aspatuck Creek from the bay on its own? Are there usually fish that size in this body of water, and we just don’t usually see them?
